The Husband gets 10 extra Man Points for surprising me with this delicious weekend-starter. Hell, he gets 20! I’m feeling expansive, and you would too if you were about to dig into summa this. AND, lucky you! I just happened to see his recipe jotted down on a World Wildlife Fund notepad (depicting an adorable polar bear cub, awwww, 30 points!) on the kitchen counter.

  • 3 avacados
  • tomato
  • cilantro
  • 4 green onions
  • juice of 1 lime
  • 1 jalapeno
  • salt and pepper

Add avacado seed to keep from browning

Happy fall, peeps!

zomg! guac! mmm… i find myself buying 5 or 6 avocados a week (so i have a constant rotating stock) and i’m never w/o ripe ones anymore.. the only thing i’d add to that recipe is maybe a litle garlic salt, powder, or fresh garlic if available. the lime juice is the secret weapon though…

For the record, I didn’t put the jalapeno in it, since I’m not really much of a spicy food guy. But I may add some next time, since a little spice would probably improve it. (May try the garlic, too.)

It’s true he didn’t put the jalapeno in it, and I’m going to post a photo from my grocery store that partly explains why, but don’t worry, SB, I put plenty of hot sauce in mine.
