Eric Rafiq, CEO of the Xtreme Kombat League (XKL) is looking for sponsors to help bring legendary boxing champion Laila Ali to the United Arab Emirates for a fight in Dubai for 2010.

Daughter of boxing great Mohammad Ali, Laila Ali has a record of 24-0 with a staggering 21 knockouts, and she holds three world titles. She has not been in the ring since the birth of her son in August 2008.

Previous efforts to bring Laila to the UAE have failed due to lack of sponsorship. Rafiq commented, “Ali’s people said yes. Now we need to handle the thing. Laila Ali doesn’t come cheap.”

Gulf News reports that if Laila fights, her father will be there to watch.
