Ok, I feel slightly guilty — but only slightly — to have posted yesterday and made it look like the Maker never wears shoes.

Here is proof to the contrary, and I swear to you he has nicer shoes than these, too. Sketchers, even! I just bought them about 4 weeks ago and they are only mostly trashed. These are much older than that (inherited from an older brother) and they are totally trashed.

Boys are crazy. They play like there’s no tomorrow. They swamp stomp, woods wreck, suburb surf.

I think they are pretty incredible and I’m honored to purchase their shoes. (And their black socks.)

King Midas Only Disgusting, Part 2

This week I was trying to get some plates out of the cabinet and two of them were actually cemented (rhymes with demented) together with solidified particulate matter, gaaaaah! This is what happens when you assign chores related to cleanliness to boys.

Like King Midas Only Disgusting

When I came home from work today my hand stuck to the doorknob. I went to the fridge: same deal, but higher goop factor. Eew. So I grabbed some Clorox wipes and did a doorknob and handle circuit, which gave me a happy sigh when I finished. But then I took off my shoes. Either [...]

The Stink You are Experiencing…

Thumbnail image for The Stink You are Experiencing…

By the time we went to church this morning the Maker had already been out in the creek and woods for hours. His shoes and pant legs were soaked and muddy, and I noticed a distinct swamplike odor when we were in the car together. Honestly, he took a bath Saturday, but that boy can [...]
