Last year we didn’t get any snow at all in Raleigh, so I really hoped for at least one or two this year. My wish has been granted: the last snow kept me home with the boys, but this one I could drive to work in and really enjoy in a different way. It was beautiful; I could see the line of the storm front and the blue sky beyond our clouds — the quality of light was astonishing and I wished I had my camera. Incidentally, it’s supposed to be 70 degrees by Saturday. I love North Carolina.
