DIY Ninja Headwrap

The Maker is here to give you all the ninja secrets you need.

I remember shooting this a couple of months ago, and being once again surprised at the stuff this boy keeps inside his head. I know, I know, YouTube. Still, for an 11-year-old dude, he impresses me.

So. Click “play” and learn to make your silent secret ninja tee-shirt headwrap.

And because the new video made me think of another he did, I’ve re-posted that one too, so that you can  find out how to do a ninja bow (both with and without a sword.

But more importantly, you will uncover super secret hidden knowledge about any ninja fight you might find yourself in. Because unlike with normal people, there’s no ring, ropes, or bells. (Notice how I just made myself “normal”? That felt pretty awesome.)

In fact, it’s terribly important that you watch the second video through to the end. Otherwise you could have your ignorant ninja head chopped off.

I think.

Maker-Ninja knows all. If you have ninja questions, please post them and I’ll implore him to reveal more of his hidden ninja secret knowledge.

How boxing inspires people

Train Me Right — What We Are About from jill Morley on Vimeo. I just found this awesome video over on Jill Morley’s blog and was glued to the screen as each fighter told just a small piece of his or her story. The woman who appears at the end of this video, Kaiyana Rain, [...]

13 Reasons Women Should Take Up Boxing

I recently posted my Ignite Durham speech titled “How to Win a Fight in a Bar,” and it made me realize I’d never posted the first Ignite speech I gave, “13 Reasons Women Should Take Up Boxing.” The Ignite idea is that if enough people vote up your idea and put you on the stage, [...]

World Champion Boxer Katie Taylor Steals the Commercial

April 15, 2011

Once in a while I get an advertising inquiry in my email inbox. It’s nice, on the one hand, to feel like one’s blog is out there enough to be noticed, but even nicer than that is the fact that this is my personal blog and I get to do whatever I like here. And [...]

Power Up, Women

December 17, 2010

I need to travel over to Athletic Women Blog more regularly, because every time I go I get dosed up with a massive hit of all-out inspiration. Look people, I know this video is a advert for UnderArmor (which I do in fact wear), but the fact is that any commercial that powers me up [...]

Best Christmas Video EVER

December 4, 2009

This is so me, without the New York Jewish mother bit. Or the red hair and five o’clock shadow. And those outfits, yikes! But, you know, it’s me. I LOVE the tree! I don’t love the mess or the work but I love to have and see and enjoy the tree. And it really does [...]

If He Had One Wish…

June 26, 2009

The Maker’s One Wish from Lisa Creech Bledsoe on Vimeo. This is the Maker’s answer to the surprise interview question: If you could have ONE THING that your parents say “No” to, what would it be? Although it caught me off guard at the time, I should have known this answer. And it’s just characteristic [...]

A Look Inside Boxing Training

April 14, 2009

Boxing Team Training from Lisa Creech Bledsoe on Vimeo. The above is a short video with some clips from our boxing team training sessions. (I have one tiny cameo on the speed bag: I’d like to thank the Academy). There’s some nice sparring footage at the end — the guy with no shirt is Will, [...]
