hope you don’t mind if I add my two cents. A great boxer to watch out for in the welterweights is Cecilia Braekhus. After she has had a couple more fights under her belt, look for her and Holly Holm to link up in what would be a thrilling and exciting fight. Right now Holly has more experience, but that is a fight that I hope we all get to see. Very nice post here and I’m glad I came across it. Hope to see more here in the future.

Good post. Christy Martin is still boxing? I thought she had retired awhile ago. The pastor of my church recently gave me a copy of an old Sports Illustrated issue with her on the front cover.

I doubt that Laila Ali is returning to boxing. She has a child, and that might influence her thoughts about taking on bouts again.

By the way, thanks for the comment that you left on my blog! It’s true — very few of us middle-aged women around who are involved in boxing.

Truthfully, it’s the “oldies but goodies” that are still carrying women’s boxing forward with tremendous momentum. The younger, newer women have a great legacy to enjoy because of all the passion and energy you and your peers put into it!

I would love more than anything to be able to see you fight in 2010. Just sayin’!
