Yes! You can get all kinds of stuff at 7-11.. you just don't have much choice in size, price, or expiration date (hint: don't buy cans of condensed milk at 7-11.)

And, yes, here are green beans from last year: http://www.flickr.com/photos/12675847@N07/4151953208/ (complete with bacon.. mmm..)

Ok, stop. You can get biscuits at the 7-11? And lunch meat? Amazing, I had no idea.

Good for you for washing sheets. This time my in-laws stayed in a hotel, so I didn't even have to undertake the annual washing of the sheets, heh.

I love love love love mashed taties. So bad for you, and so deliciously warm and cozy. Better than Cheetos any day.

SEND PICTURE OF THE GREEN BEANS. Go do that now.

ZOMG! The first night I was delegated with <I>'rent-watch-2009</I> I was totally (ok, mostly) unprepared.. I at least had enough forewarning (or is it foreshadowing?) to throw various combinations of matress pads, sheets, pillows, comforters & towels in the washer. That was my prepardness for "worst case" scenario.. I figured I'd "wing" the rest if need be - and it was nedded (past tense of "needed be".) We stopped by 7-11 ("Oh Thank Heaven") where I picked up some beer, wine (btw, my parents don't drink, but I do), bread, eggs, biscuits, milk, cereal and lunch meat. When they left I inherited: a can of (sugar free) fruit cocktail (which I still have a can left over from last year), part of a container of sour cream (which apparently is good for the digestive system) and afore mentioned other items (sans beer & wine.) Of course, after the typical Thanksgiving shenanigans I came home with the usual suspects of turkey, mashed potatoes, fudge, and various pies.. And after much beer & wine, the pies, fudge & a goodly portion of the mashed potatoes seemed take care of themselves which just left me with bags (and bags) of turkey meat, which were quickly relegated to the freezer. When I told my sister-in-law I still had last year's green beans in the freezer (true story), she repeated the old wives' tale about how even things in the freezer have a 'shelf life' - which I sincerely doubt, I mean, after all, they're "frozen" (hello? suspended animation?) aren't they? If anyone needs proof I'll "flick" pics of last Thanksgiving's green beans just for fun..
