It isn’t often that I paint anymore. This one gave me great pleasure… It was done on the computer and is only about 6″x8″. You can get an amazing variety of brushstrokes and canvas textures on Photoshop. My old painting professors would have enjoyed it. Maybe they are enjoying it! I would love to have a Intuos, but frankly, nothing will really replace the smell and feel of acrylics on canvas and papers. And “painting from the shoulder” which was de rigueur back when I was in art school. Along with the gritty, paint-splattered cement floor of a chilly studio, and the insanity of carrying around giant canvases and wooden crates filled with brushes, gesso, texturizer, rags, and packs of Toast-Chee. Wow. I miss those days.
